Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheaded user research and product feedback initiatives to refine AI-based smart glasses and a smart app for the blind and visually impaired.
- Drove strategic partnerships with NGOs, CSR programs and Rotary clubs, expanding outreach and funding opportunities.
- Supervised cross-team collaboration between engineering, design and outreach units to align technological development with user needs.
- Contributed to the company's rapid user base growth from 2,000 to 15,000+ within 1.5 years through data-driven outreach strategies.
- Managed fundraising and engagement campaigns, ensuring alignment with accessibility advocacy goals.
- Delivered product demos and accessibility awareness sessions at schools, NGOs and corporate inclusion events to enhance impact visibility.
Consultant – Technology @Voice of Specially Abled People Inc
Key Responsibilities:
- Led the digitization of fundraising systems, introducing scalable workflows and automation tools that streamlined donor management and reporting processes.
- Directed a cross-functional social media and content team producing high-impact videos, graphics and campaigns promoting disability inclusion.
- Conceptualized and launched the world's first virtual assistive technology exhibition (events.voiceofsap.org), drawing wide participation from both government and corporate sectors.
- Evaluated and implemented assistive technologies, including chatbots, accessibility plugins and Salesforce automation modules, to enhance user engagement and efficiency.
- Collaborated with engineering teams to improve UX and accessibility for web-based donor and volunteer platforms.
- Coordinated major awareness events and inclusion festivals, integrating hackathons, art contests and donation events to engage the public.
My Projects
Smarton AI Android Solution
Built at Sunbots Innovations LLP. In co-ordination with engineering and on-ground survey teams, I designed a robust system spanning the Android front-end and the data-monitoring backend. The app lets visually impaired users access multi-format, multi-lingual inaccessible documents through voice navigation, scan everyday objects using the phone camera or external hardware camera, and receive audio output with the option of a two-way voice interaction. During my time with the company its userbase grew from 2.5k to 14.5k users in 1.5 years.
Smarton Smart Glasses
A simple yet useful hardware attachment to the existing Smarton AI app. Users wear a camera mounted on their glasses, connected to their smartphone over a Type-C cable, which lets visually impaired users operate the technology hands-free and scan their surroundings while walking.
VOSAP Virtual AT Exhibition Platform
While working with Voice of Specially Abled People Inc, I conceptualized and launched the world's first virtual assistive technology exhibition, drawing wide participation from both government and corporate sectors. The platform gave 30+ Indian social enterprises working in the disability sector a stage to showcase their products to thousands of disabled users, donors and government executives — and later evolved into an AT Acceleration Fund providing $1 Million yearly to these startups.
